Due to the pandemic, tourism in Thailand has been interrupted. This interruption has resulted in the total weakening of the Thai tourism industry. In order to remedy this disaster, the ministry plans to reopen the country's tourism sector in four stages.
The First Stage
With regard to this phase, the Thai ministry is putting an end to certain restrictions that have been hampering the freedom of tourists recently. During the period from April 2021 to May 2021, tourists will have access to more leisure activities but especially sports. They will be allowed to practise various muscle activities in the gym and ride a bicycle in a conditioned area. It should be noted, however, that any entry/exit of the individuals concerned in the rooms will be in strict compliance with the barrier gestures.
The period from June to September 2021
From this stage onwards, spaces will be set up to allow the tourist to make trips to the health of the country. However, only certain areas will be free to enter. In addition, there will be a 10-day lockdown before and after each trip to closely monitor the health status of each tourist.
The Third Stage
It consists of the opening of the "sandbox". Thus, from this period onwards, tourists will be able to participate in much more entertaining activities. They will now have access to certain maritime areas for recreation after being screened and declared negative for the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Final Phase
This fourth stage will allow tourists to access the "Sand box" throughout the country. The expansion of stays to 45 days following certain regulations is planned for this final phase of the reopening of Thailand's tourism sector in January 2022.
On the other hand, restrictions are still in force at the moment. Nevertheless, the government promises a reopening of its tourism industry soon for the good of the country and the joy of tourists.
